How to choose the right rug

Choosing the right size is essential. In the living room, the front legs of the sofa and armchairs should ideally rest on the rug to create a balanced composition. In the dining room, the rug should extend at least 60 cm (24 inches) beyond the table on all sides, allowing chairs to move comfortably without catching the edges. Material is equally important. Wool is valued for its durability, cotton for its softness, and recycled PET for its resilience, particularly in outdoor settings. If your furniture is understated, a rug with colour or pattern can add personality. If the furniture already makes a strong statement, a more subtle design will create a harmonious balance.
