The headboard helps define the bedroom and gives the bed greater presence. In addition to providing comfort, it can completely transform the feel of the room. At Canica, we work with handcrafted headboards featuring carefully selected upholstery fabrics and designs ranging from classic rectangular shapes to more contemporary styles, created to complement different bedroom aesthetics.

How to choose the right headboard

Start with the dimensions. The headboard should be at least as wide as the mattress, although a few extra centimetres on each side can help frame the bed. The height will depend on the effect you want: between 100 and 120 cm for a more understated design, or up to 180 cm for greater visual impact.

When it comes to materials, linen, cotton, and wool add warmth, while wood creates a more understated look. For the colour, if the bedroom already features patterns or bold tones, opt for a more neutral headboard. In a simpler bedroom, you can use it to introduce colour.
