Designer stools: more than just a seat

A stool is a versatile piece of furniture that fits effortlessly into kitchens, breakfast bars, islands, or covered porches. As well as complementing its surroundings, it should provide lasting comfort and durability for everyday use. At Canica, we design handcrafted stools with beech wood or wrought iron structures, created to suit both kitchen counters and outdoor high tables.

How to choose the right stool

The height of the stool should match the height of your counter or table. For countertops measuring 90–95 cm (35–37 inches), stools with a seat height of 60–65 cm (24–26 inches) are generally recommended. For bars measuring 105–110 cm (41–43 inches), stools with a seat height of 75–80 cm (30–31 inches) provide the best fit. It's also important to ensure there is enough legroom beneath the counter.

If the stool will be used for extended periods, choose a model with a backrest and footrest for greater comfort. For occasional seating or as an auxiliary chair, backless stools take up less space and create a lighter visual effect. You can opt for a matching set or combine different materials to create a seamless connection between your indoor and outdoor living spaces.
